Rupert has been involved in the sport of gymnastics since he was 10 years old. As a competitor, he was a Regional Champion and multiple Junior Olympic National Championships qualifier. Rupert then competed for The College of William and Mary’s Division I Men’s gymnastics team. In addition to his gymnastics background, he also has experience in research science and strength and conditioning. A seasoned gymnastics coach, Rupert most recently served as the Head Coach and Program Director for a boy’s gymnastics program in California. While in California, he trained at Crossfit Davis and also worked with athletes looking to improve their gymnastics skill set and knowledge base. He is also one of the gymnastics coaches at Power Monkey Camp.Rupert enjoys the community aspect of Crossfit and greatly values the opportunity to help people reach their fitness goals. He is currently coaching at Crossfit Inner Loop in Silver Spring, Maryland.Education:

4 week Tuesday Session Jan 6, 13, 27, Feb 3:

11AM & 12:15AM capped at 9/class

4 week Wednesday Session Jan 7, 14, 28, Feb 4:

 6PM capped at 9/class

Mike focuses in on mobility, overhead positions, snatch grip, bottom positions and overhead squat work. He is focused in  on giving clients the best possible coaching experience, which is the reasoning behind the smaller clinic sizes.

Mike Cerbus has competed nationally for 10 years and medalled at 3 National Championships and 5 American Open Championships (2011 American Open Champion), while also being selected to the United States Pan American & Olympic Qualification Teams in 2012.  His competitive accomplishments and growth as a coach have been made possible by developing under Senior International Coach Lou DeMarco, American Icon Chad Vaughn, and as a training special from 2011-2013 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs under Zygmunt Smalcerz.

Since 2009 Mike has been instructing crossfitters of all levels across the country, most recently at RAW Training (CrossFit Games Top 5 Team 2012) and SPC (CrossFit Games 2nd Place Team 2012) to work as the Oly and Strength coach with competitive athletes and general members.

**His best lifts include a 140kg (308lb) Snatch, a 170kg (375lb) Clean and Jerk, a 530lb squat, and 500lb deadlift at a bodyweight under 170lbs.**

Her Olympic gold medal in sailing and status as one of the fittest women in the world prove it’s more than just a slogan for her. Tunnicliffe, 31, who works—and works out—at Mt. Lebanon’s CrossFit studio, 427 Washington Road, has an extensive resume of athletic and personal achievement. In 2008 she won gold in sailing in the Laser Radial category (one-person dinghy) at the Beijing Olympics and four years later placed fifth in women’s match racing in London. We All Have Fears

We all have fears. It’s normal. They usually begin in childhood as our brains develop and we understand the consequences of life or learn of our mortality. Fears are usually quite simple but morph and change as we get older.

As a child I was afraid of having to perform on stage. I didn’t like adults looking and laughing at me. At four years old I broke my moms heart when I flat-out refused to do my ballet recital. Through the years I have had a fear of heights, a fear of flying and a fear of public speaking. I have worked through these fears with some success but I am not entirely comfortable with any of those things.
