 What is Crossfit Kids?

CrossFit Kids was founded in 2004 by Jeff and Mikki Martin and is a method for teaching Greg Glassman’s CrossFit to children, ages 3-18. Based on the principle of Mechanics => Consistency => Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance, and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means that consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.


Fitness Can Be Fun

At Crossfit Mt. Lebanon, we work with kids in much the same way that we work with seniors and athletes –with an insistence on near perfect mechanics.  Our program is designed to build self-confidence by encouraging and building a love in children for becoming and staying fit. We tailor the fitness routines to build muscle, bone, strength and speed, at a level appropriate for the growing body.  Whether your child is a budding athlete or just wants to have fun, CrossFit Kids is the answer!

Getting Started

At CrossFit Mt. Lebanon your child’s first class is always FREE.  After he/she discovers that physical fitness can be fun you can sign them up for either a monthly membership (best value) or a punch card pass.



Kids (Ages 6-10) 4:30-5:15 pm
