CrossFit Coach / Head CFMTL Technology Team
- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
- FIT-EDU Barbell Level 1
When/how did you find CrossFit?
May 2011 – Brother and Sister did CF, they introduced me to it.
What made you want to be a Coach?
Felt I was able to connect with others and find ways to motivate them. It drove me to enjoy the sport more and see success in people. CrossFit can make drastic changes in people from mental, social and physically. Seeing those changes made me want to be involved more and on the next level.
What is your favorite part about coaching?
Seeing great changes in people. Watching people transform.
What do you like to do outside of the gym?
If I could fish every day and be on the water, I would. Sport Fishing is my passion. I love technology and tinkering with new products. Computers / technology is how I make a living. Love to play ice hockey and beer league with the guys. Wood crafting is a winter hobby. Saving the best for last would be sharing time with my wife Suzy and our small family.
Anything else you would like to share?
My wife Suzy (Coach Suz) and I met doing CrossFit. We didn’t not meet at CFMTL but at another gym down in our past. Our lives crossed path many, many years ago but not until we both were in CrossFit we got to know each other more and found something common. Outside the gym I share small non-profit organization that is all about fishing (small plug: reelfishn.net). We enjoy everything about the sport and getting kids / people involved. CrossFit is not just about working out and staying healthy and functional fitness. I’ve developed some great relationships, friends and bonds with all sorts of people. My whole family does CrossFit which I think is pretty cool and how it is so intertwined into my life.
